Live An Extraordinary Life!

As the winter season concludes and a little bit of warmth returns to the air, I’m reminded of what an awesome God we serve who has a plan for every season. Spring is a time of growth, regeneration, and new beginnings. For many of us, this is the season of “Spring cleaning,” when we evaluate, prioritize, and organize our physical belongings to bring our home life back into harmony after winter’s many shut-in days. Friend, don’t miss something vitally important as you dust off forgotten domestic artifacts or change out your wardrobe. Just like you make time to clean up and restore order to your home, you must make time for getting your body, soul, and spirit back into alignment with God’s plan for your life! An extraordinary life is much more than having good health or receiving healing in your body.

Take back your life!

I don’t know about you, but there are seasons in my life where I feel like there are not enough hours in the day to get everything done. It’s becoming pretty clear to me that the pace of life is not getting any slower, and I know that I’m not the only one who has to deal with elevated levels of stress

We’ve all said at one point or another that we wish there were just one (or ten) more hours in our day so that we can do what’s needed and enjoy some down time with those we love. But unfortunately, we can’t slow time down or add a single second to the day.

Have you ever had days like this? You forget to set your alarm and then you sleep in, rush through getting ready, skip breakfast, get stuck in traffic, and end up five minutes late to work…To be able to bring change to this area of our life, let’s start with what we know we can affect, and that’s our ability to manage our time.

When time is mishandled, we’re bound to incur stress. Life shouldn’t be about bouncing and ricocheting from one busy task to the next.  How amazing would it be, to be able to take a moment every now and then to simply decompress and relax and take a deep breath.

“Peace I leave with you; My peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” – John 14:27

God has designed a beautiful life for you, one that doesn’t include stress, fear, or anxiety! He desires for you to walk in the rest and peace that He has provided for you, to enjoy the desires of your heart and to recognize His goodness in your life.

Time management is key to bringing our daily lives into Gods alignment and to help relieve stress. The first principle to achieve this is stewardship. Stewardship is interesting because it says that while you don’t own something, you are responsible for its development in your life. The great news is YOU have the power to be responsible for your seconds, minutes, hours, and days.

I want to share with you a few principles that I apply in my own life that help me manage my time and ultimately trust the Lord when stress takes hold.

1. Praise God.

Do you know that praising God is the best thing to do first before anything else? Have you ever been in a situation that you feel all alone? Or have you encountered a difficult situation in your life and you don’t know what to do, like losing your job or suffering the loss of someone very close to your heart? Consider the good times, such as when you receive a raise from your boss or earn high marks at school. What do you usually do during these moments? Praising God makes every circumstance of our lives complete, essential, and eminently worthwhile. When we praise God verbally, it’s like spraying the most expensive perfume or cologne; it goes up to heaven and creates an aroma that gets God’s attention. Praise is more than making a noise. When you praise Him, you invite the presence of God, the calm of God, and the serenity of God into your life.

“Therefore, by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.” —  Hebrews 13:15

 2. Start your day with a plan.
It will help you to know how to organize what’s important and how to structure the time in your day. Having a hit list of the items that need to be tackled will help you to feel accomplished when you are able to cross them off your list. Proverbs 16:3 tells us, “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.”

3. Keep God at the center! — Let’s pray.

God wants to be the center of your life: the center of your conversation, the center of your entertainment, and the center of your relationships. Prayer keeps Him in the center of all you do. I pray every time I see or feel a need. I pray while driving. I pray while working, and while relaxing. I cast my cares on Him and say, “Lord, I am not going to worry about anything today; I am giving it to You.” Prayer should be like breathing, natural to do anywhere you are. Philippians 4:6 tells us, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”

Take some time to evaluate what brings stress to your life and take action to bring it under control. You’ll be amazed at the difference you see in your life, both short- and long-term.

And remember, God is for you, so let nothing stop you!

“The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you.” — Romans 16:20

Are You Tired of the Rat Race

Are you one of the millions of Americans who feels stuck like a hamster on a wheel at your job? Do you slave away, day by day, only to never feel like you are getting ahead? I mean…really…do you think it is a bunch of nonsense when you here someone say that they just LOVE their job!

Listen, in other words, do you feel like you spend your whole life working for someone else, while your God given gifts and ideas sit on the shelf?

Dave Ramsey may have put it best… “If you were to win the lottery and the first thing you would do is quit your job, then you need to quit your job.”

What if I told you it doesn’t have to be like this? You might think it takes a fancy college education or a lucky break to get a job that you really love. But it doesn’t.

You have something the world needs, but if you’re not using what God has given you, then you’ll be stuck where you’re at forever. There’s an old adage: if you keep doing the same thing with the expectation of different results… that’s called INSANITY! Most employers will pay their employees just enough so that they don’t quit, and most employees will apply themselves just enough that they don’t get fired. Why work so hard just to keep your job, when you could be living your destiny?

If there is a gap between where you are and where you see yourself, then there is also a gap between where you are and where God wants you to be. If you want to change your current situation, you need to change something about your job. But what?

THERE IS TRUTH TO THE STATEMENT – Do what you love, and you’ll never work another day in your life!

This is where my good friend, Delatorro McNeal, comes in. He is a speaker, writer, motivator, and life coach, and he wants to guide you towards the success that you are capable of, that God has destined for you. There is no magic trick to success; what you need is to change the way you think and what you are doing to pursue your dreams. It’s easier than it seems, but you need to make the decision to take the first step. Delatorro has made it his life’s passion to help people all around the world make the leap from the 9 to 5 to making 5 times what they make right now! And, he’s doing it by simply leading them to discover how to THINK like a business magnate!

You can have what you want in life. Secure bank accounts, a job you love, and people who appreciate the service you do. You are far more than just a secretary, just a store clerk, just a teacher, just a janitor… whatever your vocation may be, you are not defined by it. Most people center their lives around their jobs, but you can center your job around your life. You have skills and talents, and when you realize your worth and place a value on it, you can become a problem solver for others, an asset to the world around you. You can capitalize on your God-given gifts, and be rewarded for it.

As Delatorro says, you have to be willing to perfect your gift, put it in the marketplace, and demand that people compensate you!

I say, “AMEN TO THAT!”

When I sat down with Delatorro on my 1onONE show, he lifted the lid for me on his unique system to help God’s people build their businesses and ultimately fulfill their life’s purpose! It was amazing! I mean, Delatorro has conferences and workshops all over the country. He’s been featured on BET, ABC, and FoxNews! He is currently ranked as #32 on the list of top 60 motiviational speakers in the world! He’s the real deal and yet, he decided to bless my 1onONE community with something exclusive. He’s made his best material available to you in a complete bundle at a HUGE discount! It’s like hiring your own life coach for a fraction of the cost! Check it out today and get started on your own journey to success. He will guide you through, step-by-step, to breaking free from the 9 to 5.

I began 1onONE so I could help you to win at life—and I believe that you can! God has a way of showing up, right when we need Him, and using just the right people to speak to us. Delatorro is one of those people that I believe God is using to work in the lives of people across the globe, to help them realize their destiny and start living abundantly. You don’t have to be stuck in the rat race forever! Take the first step towards your dream today!

P.S Would you share this email and blog post with one person you know needs to break out of the rat race? I believe what they read today come be the one thing to change their life forever!

Are You Getting To The Core Of The Problem

I’ve discovered a common thread when I come across people who are living day-to-day, seemingly frustrated, discontent, and agitated. In nearly every case, when we get past the surface stuff that’s causing angst – they have this one thing in common – they are searching.

What are they looking for? Well, for many it’s purpose. Yep – the age-old question: “What is the meaning of it all?” I removed the word “life,” from the question to boil it down to the real point: What is the meaning of what I am doing now? If we get up each day, shower, dress, deal with the kids, fight traffic, sit behind some desk and bounce from one event to another without really understanding the ‘point’ of it all – well – when circumstance hits, we are posed for frustration, discontent and agitation. I see it all the time in people.

So, what makes people really want to get up in the morning and get motivated? What makes them sit up, take notice and walk with purpose? What drives people to make a difference in their lives, and the lives of others? The answer is PASSION!

Ask yourself the big question in life: “Why do I do what I do? Why am I doing it? Where am I headed?” And all of this, and I mean ALL of it, has a direct correlation to what exists in the CORE of you.

You see, there is a center within you – a focal point deep inside from which everything, all the issues of life, spring forth. I’m a living example. For the better part of the first half of my life, I was a wreck at the core. Tough stuff in childhood and in my early development years had a negative impact on my core, my heart, my mind, my spirit, my soul. And if the core is unbalanced, off center, out of alignment, then the rest of your life will follow a pattern.

This doesn’t mean that you need to pretend that you have it all together. You’re not looking for perfection. You’re looking to truly understand what you want and have a plan, the determination, the faith and the will to get there. When your core is messed up, getting where you want to go will always be a struggle.

I recently had the opportunity to interview on my show, Dean Graziosi. Dean is a longtime friend and New York Times bestselling author of a book called, “Totally Fulfilled.” It speaks directly to this issue of finding your CORE, and articulates how we can bring ourselves back to center when we begin to get off balance. Dean rejects all the ‘limiting stories’ we constantly hear in our lives that hold us back, serve as barriers to our getting ahead, and celebrates what it means to find fulfilment at your own CORE. As Dean shares in his book, “Once you form a solid core, then success in anything you plug into it is possible – and in fact – inevitable. Approached correctly, all the things you want to accomplish, overcome, or fix are not separate.”

When the tough times come, we begin to acknowledge limiting beliefs, and they can have a paralyzing effect on us. We begin to see obstacles and problems as STOP SIGNS. Dean came to 1onONE with incredible wisdom and real-life experience to live an EXTRAORDINARY LIFE, and as a result, we are able to share these powerful secrets to success and fulfillment with you in his book, “Totally Fulfilled.”

It’s time to get past the ordinary life – the life of living day-to-day, frustrated, discontent, agitated and searching. Dean Graziosi’s, “Totally Fulfilled” will provide you the tools to set you on the path to being centered, in balance and finding your CORE! ORDER YOUR COPY TODAY, and YOU will soon begin living the EXTRAORDINARY LIFE.

P.S. I truly believe that everyone has the potential to reach deep within and find solutions to the angst in their life, regardless of what form that angst manifests itself. I’ve witnessed how “Totally Fulfilled” has made a difference in the lives of many of our 1onONE family. Now, it’s YOUR time to witness it in YOUR life.

You Must Take This To Heart

It’s been a blessing to walk with you over the last few weeks as we’ve talked about restoring our total man. I hope you’ve enjoyed the previous posts on the spirit and the soul. Today, I want to wrap up the series by talking about the body. We all know we should eat right, exercise, etc., but today I want to talk about the importance of a specific part of your body that needs to be healthy…

The Bible says in Proverbs 4:23 – Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it…(NIV)

Obviously, the writer was using the heart as an illustration of the soul. But, wait a minute…not that I am trying to re-arrange scripture, but what if I was to say it like this…

Above all else, guard your heart, for A HEALTHY BODY flows from it…

The condition of your heart is critical to living the extraordinary life. In a purely natural sense, the state of your heart will determine the state of your overall health. We live in a time when the leading causes of death in the United States are not from environmental factors, accidents, or sickness. The sad reality is that most Americans experience, what could be, preventable deaths. Reports indicate that at least 26% of all deaths in the United States are from some form of heart disease. That is greater than one out of every four. We would never allow anyone to harm us or threaten our lives, yet we are willingly doing damage to ourselves through the decisions we continue to make.

Heart disease doesn’t simply cut short your life. It affects the quality of the life you live. And the affects you experience have a ripple effect all through your life. In fact, this year alone, heart disease will cost the United States $316.4 billion for medical services, medications, and lost productivity. That is a cost that we all bear together.

When it comes to our health, most of us live with a fair degree of denial.

A recent survey showed that 39 percent of Americans thought they had ideal heart health. This is in spite of the fact that 54 percent of those people had been told they had either a heart disease risk factor or needed to make a lifestyle change to improve heart health, or both.

A healthy heart is not the result of drastic behaviors that swing wildly from neglect to restriction and back again. What we truly need is to honestly examine the current state of our health and embrace a lifestyle that is both enjoyable and sustainable.

So, I want to pose some questions to you that will help you get started considering your heart health!

Are you ready?

Question: Do you get at least 150 minutes of moderate exercise or 75 minutes of vigorous exercise each week? This breaks to down to thirty minutes of walking, swimming, or bike riding five days per week. You don’t have to join a gym or buy expensive equipment to get the time in. Walk with your spouse on the beach, or go play with your kids in the park. The objective is to get your heart pumping and give it the workout it needs. If you have specific restrictions that limit or inhibit your exercise, or if you have concerns about the type of exercises that you should engage in, then talk with your physician and let him or her direct your activities. We can all do something. One thing that may help is to get started on an anti-inflammatory supplement that supports overall joint health.

Question: Do you have a dietary plan that you follow to promote good heart health? Your diet is very important to your heart health. Having a plan is the first step to success! Having a plan you can actually keep up with is priceless. I’m not a fan of plans that have you counting calories, or points or whatever. A plan that is going to promote consistency and achievability will serve you better in the long run. That’s why I always remind my 1onONE community about the blood types diet plan!

Question: When’s the last time you cleansed your temple! Your heart needs proper nutrition to prosper. Stress, food additives, environmental pollutants and even parasites can disrupt your natural ability to digest and absorb vital nutrition. As toxins, undigested food and other wastes accumulate, the balance and function of the natural system tasked with purifying, detoxifying and revitalizing your body can become impaired. A good colon cleanse will purge your body of built-up waste and improving nutritional uptake. The cleansing process supports digestive health and optimizes digestive function, but can also naturally revitalize and rejuvenate your liver, lungs, kidneys and other vital organ systems. Get started today by checking out the ZOE Cleanse product!

These simple thoughts can go a long way to promoting good heart health in your body! You are so valuable and important to God and his Kingdom! You must take care of not just your spirit and your soul… you must take care of your body, too!
